2014 Introductions & Seedlings

LUJEAN BENNETT

LuJean Bennett (Wilson 2014) is a 6.5" raspberry UF cascade with a yellow-green throat that turns into the narrowest of cream midribs on the petals. The petals always show wonderful ruffling. LuJean is a 45" midseason diploid with 18 bud count and 2-3 way branching with a Y terminus. Fertile both ways but pod difficult. Named for my very good friend of, well, let's just say many years. (2nd Lake Norman Spider sdg x Oklahoma Kicking Bird) x North Wind Dancer $50/2 fans

BETSY'S LEMONADE STAND

Betsy's Lemonade Stand (Wilson 2014) is the palest of yellow UF cascade with a wonderful green throat which slowly yellows out onto the petals. This 7" midseason SEV diploid will often show poly blooms, but either way will always have nice ruffling especially on the petals. A mature fan will present 4-way branching (or 2-way with a W or Y terminus) and 22 bud count. Betsy's Lemonade Stand will give you 42" scapes. Extremely fertile both ways. (H. Hakunensis x Banshee Love Call) x Heavenly Angel Ice $50/2 fans

GREAT SPECKLED BIRD

Great Speckled Bird (Wilson 2014) has two 8" faces dictated by weather conditions. The first one is a light peach with darker peach stippling with a yellow-green throat and an olive green heart. The second face will be a rosy-peach self with abundant streaking of light peach. Either way it turns out to be a reverse bitone. The sour green throat comes way out on the sepals which invariably twist and turn creating an UF twisting cascade. GSB is a 40" midseason diploid with 10-12 buds on a W or Y terminus and has a long season of bloom. Fertile both ways. Mom's Pink Divinity x Talon $50/2 fans
