2012 Introduction

*LOVE OF DADDY OH

(N. Ripley 2012) Tet. 05NRK022 (sdlg x Born to Reign) Named for my father. My father always gave my mother red anniversary roses, one for every year they were married on their Wedding Anniversary. Red Roses were my father's favorite flower. The roses had to be the deepest of reds with a velvet look to them. That is why we chose this daylily to be named in honor of my father. Both of my parents were my biggest fans, and supporters and I know Daddy would love this flower. Love of Daddy Oh, is a clear saturated color of red with the look of velvet, and lots of ruffling. Sometimes the ruffles are white and sometimes light yellow, depending on light and temperatures. 6" flower, height 32", bud count 20, ML, foliage dormant, here but I think semi-evergreen farther south, strong green foliage that didn't have the yellowing some plants did the summer of 2012 in the dry heat, sets pods easily and pollen good. LOVE OF DADDY OH throws great kids with lots of ruffles and opens easily. I sold out summer of 2012, will have a very limited number for spring of 2013. I am using it myself heavily. LOVE OF DADDY OH, throws teeth as well as wonderful ruffling. Kid by LOVE OF DADDY OH, 'God Given' which is garden name but was so stunning I gave it a name until we introduce. SOLD OUT for 2014 - please contact if interested.
